No comparison between digital, analog devices

There are differences between analog, digital devices

All hearing aids might look the same, but there is a big difference in technology between analog and digital devices.

Digital hearing aids much more advanced

Digital hearing aids are the newest innovation in hearing aids. They provide cleaner, clearer, higher quality sound than any other form of hearing aid on the market. Analog hearing aids cannot distinguish different sounds and amplify all sounds equally. The result: some sounds will be uncomfortably loud while others are hard to hear. Analog hearing aids provide an accurate sound reading by converting sound waves into electrical waves. In contrast, digital hearing aids convert sound waves using mathematical calculations, which produce a more exact duplication of sound. Because of this, the sound quality produced by digital hearing aids is significantly higher than the quality of sound produced by analog hearing aids.

  • Digital hearing aids offer many great features that analog models cannot offer. There are many reasons hearing aid wearers and hearing healthcare providers chose to convert from analog to digital hearing aids.
  • Digital hearing aids provide better quality sound by translating sound to digital codes.
  • Digital hearing aids can be customized to suit personal needs and hearing losses.
  • Digital hearing aids offer a number of additional features to the user that analog forms cannot.
  • Digital hearing aids are available in various sizes and models to suit every person’s hearing loss and needs.
